This text has been prepared by GÜRMEN GİYİM SANAYİ VE TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ (hereinafter referred to as “GÜRMEN” or “COMPANY”) in its capacity as the data controller within the scope of Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (the Law) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfillment of the Obligation to Inform.

The purpose of this Cookie Disclosure Text is to inform you about which types of cookies we use for what purposes, their legal basis, and your rights regarding the processing of personal data obtained automatically through the placement of cookies used on our website on your device.

• What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a site saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit a site. Cookies are widely used to make a website work, work more efficiently, or provide information to the owners of the website.

• Types of Cookies

Types of cookies according to duration of use: Session cookies are used to ensure the continuity of the session and are deleted when the user closes the browser. Persistent cookies are not deleted when the internet browser is closed and are deleted automatically on a certain date or after a certain period of time. In this context, session and persistent cookies are used on our website according to their duration of use.

First-party and third-party cookies: First-party cookies are placed directly by the website the user visits, i.e., the address displayed in the browser's address bar. Third-party cookies are placed by a different domain than the address the user visits. In this context, only first-party cookies are used on our website.

Types of cookies according to purpose of use: Cookies can be used for purposes such as strictly necessary, functional, or advertising/marketing, depending on their purpose of use.

The processing of personal data through such cookies is based on the processing condition of “it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject” in accordance with subparagraph (f) of the second paragraph of Article 5 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698. 

• Rights of the Data Subject Listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698

As personal data owners, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to the Company through the methods regulated below, the COMPANY will conclude the request as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. No fee will be charged for answers up to ten pages. A processing fee of 1 Turkish Lira will be charged for each page over ten pages. If the response to the application is provided on a recording medium such as a CD or flash drive, the fee that may be requested by the COMPANY will not exceed the cost of the recording medium.

In this context, personal data owners have the right to;

1. Learn whether their personal data is being processed,
2. Request information if their personal data has been processed,
3. Learn the purpose of the processing of personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
4. Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
5. Request the correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and request that the transaction made in this context be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
6. Request the deletion or destruction of personal data in the event that the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist, even though it has been processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 and other relevant laws, and request that the transaction made in this context be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
7. Object to the emergence of a result against the person himself/herself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
8. Request the compensation of the damage in case of loss due to the unlawful processing of personal data.

You may submit your request regarding the exercise of your rights mentioned above, in Turkish, in accordance with Article 5 of the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, in writing with information and documents confirming your identity to the address Mehmet Nesih Özmen Mahallesi, Kızılcık Sokak Gürmen Group No: 23-25 34173 Merter, Güngören İstanbul- Türkiye, or via registered electronic mail (KEP) to the address gurmengiyimas@hs01.kep.tr in your capacity as the data controller.

GÜRMEN reserves the right to verify your identity in order to prevent unlawful sharing of your personal data.

Your application must contain;

1. Your name, surname, and your signature if the application is written,
2. Your T.R. identity number for citizens of the Republic of Turkey, or your nationality, passport number, or identity number if you are a foreigner,
3. Your place of residence or workplace address for notification,
4. Your electronic mail address, telephone and fax number for notification, if any,
5. Your subject of request,

and it is required to attach information and documents related to the subject, if any, to the application.
